Breckenridge Vacation Homes

Today's lifestyles have become stressful and busy for most of us. No matter how big, small or luxurious your dwelling in the city might be; the true peace of mind, quiet and tranquility is something we all yearn for. Summit County in Colorado holds in its midst a precious gem called Breckenridge that offers all the beauty of nature and the tranquility of a small rustic town. An old western town with a rich history and natural beauty in full glory is a trademark of Breckenridge. If you want to enjoy your vacation, be it summer or winter, you can head to this resort area and have the time of your life. Breckenridge offers four snow covered mountain peaks during the winter season along with the scenic beauty of the Rocky Mountains and river during the summer.

Breckenridge attracts almost 1.4 million visitors each year, which is a testament in itself to the great beauty of the area. A town of about 3,000 locals plays host to its visitors throughout the year. Breckenridge is among the top resort areas in North America with respect to the diverse range and number of lodging options it provides.

While looking for vacation lodging, you can choose from bed and breakfasts (B&B's), motels, luxury resorts, hotels, condos, townhouses, rental vacation homes, duplexes and private family homes. While staying at a serviced condo unit or B&B you typically get benefits such as housekeeping services and access to any amenities they have such as a hot tub or pool, but they also tend to be less private than a hotel. You normally have to share some facilities with other people.

Within the limitations of the above lie the advantages of vacation homes. When you are there, it is all yours. You can enjoy the place to your heart's content. Such accommodations are especially nice for families and people traveling with a group of close friends or those planning to stay for a little while in the area.

Breckenridge offers a large number of vacation homes to its visitors. Vacation homes are located on the mountains, secluded and hidden away among trees, by the river, or are even in the heart of town near all the shops and activities. The choice is yours.

Private homes range from cozy little log houses to very luxurious dwellings. From 1 bed/bath to up to 6, 7 or even 9 bedrooms, there are a lot of vacation home options available depending on your needs, the number of people traveling with you, and your budget.

When booking a home consider a few things:

Getting a place closer to the main activity that you will indulge in will save you a lot of travel time. Getting something on or near the mountains or any lift would be good if you are there to enjoy the snow.

Some of the houses do not have a shuttle service and require you to have your own transportation arrangements.
Booking early before the start of the season can get you better rates. Typically weekends, and holidays cost more than the mid week.

Getting in early will also make sure that you have the most number of options available to you.

Normally these houses are fully furnished and provide linens like sheets and towels and have washer dryers, but checking before getting there is always a good idea.

A major advantage with vacation homes is that you can set your own luxury levels. Some deluxe properties offer pools, hot tubs, BBQ grills, game rooms, fireplaces and decks to enjoy the private views any time of the day. A few even have a private chef and housekeeper to take care of you, making it a very private five star experience.

Houses that can sleep up to 25 to 30 people are also available if you are planning a big family reunion…and it would be a reunion to remember for all. For people traveling with kids and those who prefer the outdoors, houses that are located on larger plots and are a bit secluded would be wonderful. No matter what the family size or the purpose of your trip to Breckenridge, you will find a home away from home that will make you wish for more time in this part of paradise.
